Neenah Paper –

Paper Company Collaborative

The Neenah Paper Company project was my first collaborative group project. My group was assigned to design a new paper series, booklet, and additives for the Neenah Paper Company. We decided to do a series called "A Pop of Culture" playing on the phrase Pop Culture but also because each person's section was just a snippet of something significant to that region. I designed and curated samples for French culture, focusing on the textures, styles, and colors of Versailles and French court. This lead to a mixture of Pastels and Prismatic tones. For my additive item I made a poster showcasing the paper "Marie Antoinette pink". I wanted to combine modern style with the dramatic baroque art found in the palace. I used a bust of the former queen and reenacted her famed beheading to add some oddity to the poster. I added the peonies for an extra layer of style to relate to the large volume of French Baroque hair and dresses worn by Marie Antoinette and her ladies of the court.
