Günter Gerhard Lange –

Typographer Poster

In this project, I was assigned a well known typographer at random and given the task to research them and design a poster about their career and biography. Being assigned Günter Gerhard Lange I found his revitalization of Akzidenz Grotesk to be incredibly interesting as this eventually began to pave the way for Helvetica. Lange's additions included a variation of weights and widths of the typeface which I wanted to showcase. I kept the design of the poster in a simple swiss international style with limited color to help focus on the forms of the typography themselves.
